Crisp white walls and laminate timber flooring characterise this freshly modernised 1930s Prospect home – so its bright bathroom comes as a real surprise.
Black and pink tiles with matching fixtures and basin are in stark contrast to the rest of the home at 58 Le Hunt Ave, but they make the bathroom a standout feature.
The home’s owners were considering replacing them as part of their renovations to sell but opted not to on the advice of Ray White North Adelaide director Rachel Lawrie.
Ms Lawrie, who is selling the property, said they made some changes – including resealing and re-grouting, as well as adding a new shower screen, tap ware and toilet – but the tiles were in good condition so it made sense to leave them.
“It was going to cost too much to do that reno for the sale, that’s why we chose to go that way,” she said.
“It didn’t look so daggy after the updates.”
